Applewood Independent have been awarded The Donna Louise 'League of Heroes' after raising £13,885.63 since 2016 for the charity which supports children, young adults and families. Our managing director, David Pritchard, also gave a £500 personal donation when Katie Tams from The Donna Louise came to the Applewood offfices to present David with the 'League of Heroes' certificate, crowning the team 'Heroes'.
David said 'The Donna Louise Hospice is a wonderful organisation that is there to help children, young adults and their families at a very difficult time. Having toured the facilities it makes me and my organisation more convinced of what a great organisation it is and worthy of our support. They have to raise millions each year to help fund these services and we are very proud and happy to have helped in a small way towards their care services'.
Katie Tams, area fundraiser at The Donna Louise, added 'I would like to thank David and his team at Applewood Independent for supporting the children and young people who use the services of The Donna Louise. We reply almost entirely on the support of the local community to offer a wide range of care services to hundreds of families across Staffordshire and Cheshire. Without the support of people like David, we simply would not be able to continue offering our services. So, thank you David and team Applewood!'
